OUR BEGINNING
From Dream to Legacy
Jordan’s Shorty Jacks began long before our first litter. Years ago, my husband, Jim, fell in love with the Jack Russell Terrier and dreamed of one day building a breeding program. Like many dreams, life had other plans, and the timing simply wasn’t right. Although the breeding program was put on hold, his love for this incredible breed never faded.
Years later, we reached a place in life where we could finally devote ourselves to the dogs we love. Together, we set out to build not just a breeding program, but a legacy centered on exceptional care, responsible breeding, and producing healthy, well-socialized Short Jack Russell Terriers that families can enjoy for years to come.
What makes Jordan’s Shorty Jacks special is the heart behind everything we do. Caring for our dogs isn’t just part of Jim’s day—it’s his passion and his full-time commitment. From sunrise to sunset, he is dedicated to their health, happiness, and well-being, ensuring every dog receives the individual care and attention they deserve. THE FIRST EIGHT WEEKS
Every Puppy’s Journey Begins at Home
A puppy’s first eight weeks help lay the foundation for a lifetime of confidence, health, and companionship. From the moment they’re born, our puppies are nurtured in a quiet nursery inside our home, where they receive constant care and attention in a clean, comfortable environment.
As they grow, we spend time with each puppy every day through gentle handling, cuddles, and positive interactions that build trust and encourage curiosity. Once they’re ready, they begin exploring our puppy play area, where they interact with their littermates, experience new sights and sounds, and develop important social skills through supervised play.
Every puppy develops at their own pace, and we spend time getting to know each one’s unique personality and temperament throughout those first weeks. This helps us understand what makes each puppy special so we can share those insights with their future families.
As families prepare to choose their puppy, we listen to what they’re looking for in a companion, share what we’ve learned about each puppy’s personality, and gladly offer guidance when requested. While we may recommend a puppy whose temperament seems like a great match, the final decision is always yours.
